i'm a particularly pesky magazine customer. i'll grab armfuls of magazines based solely on the cover to furiously flip through, narrow it down to small stack, and then make my final decisions after considering the editorials, and the ad/content ratio. after which, i usually end up with one or two magazines out of the 12 i started with. there are the rare few that i confidently pick up and buy without the initial critique, one being
amelia's magazine. not only is it rare to even find a copy still sitting in the shelves, but it's not consumed with advertisements, has decent editorials and good information. moreso than anything, the look and layout of the magazine sells me. it's youthful and fun, which i think is sometimes lost in the frigid world of fashion magazines. but now, i'll have to find a replacement for it because sadly, it's going out of commission. oh sure, they'll still be online, but there's nothing like the gratification of flipping through the glossy, colorful pages. amelia's magazine, i'll miss you.

now, i have to get my hands on that last issue.
